Autoctona

A story of ideas and encounters.

“I didn’t just create a service. I created a center where producers find solutions to their problems”.

It wasn't born in a day

Autoctona was not born in 2017. It was born much earlier.

In 2017 I opened the facility. But I had been carrying the idea inside me for years.

I am a producer. I live the winery every day. And every day I saw real, concrete problems: organization, costs, investments, management. Then I traveled to the United States. I looked at what was happening in California. And there I saw companies that had already solved those problems.

And I kept thinking:“In the United States, this problem wouldn’t exist. I would find a company that could solve it for me.”

That thought stayed with me.

The market waits for no one

I talked with other producers. At dinners, the conversation always ended up on the same topics: machines, investments, staff, operational difficulties. Meanwhile, the market was becoming faster. More competitive. More demanding.

And I understood something very simple: passion is no longer enough. Quality is no longer enough. Three very clear words are needed: Organization. Expertise. Vision.

If you are not structured, sooner or later you fall behind.

Being structured cost

To be efficient, investments are needed.

Technology is needed.

Specialized professionals are needed.

Large companies can afford it. Small and medium-sized ones often cannot.

So I asked myself a question: how can a small winery access an industrial-level organization without building it from scratch?

The answer became Autoctona.

Autoctona Cellarfill

Not a service. A service hub.

In 2017 we started with 800 square meters. One bottling line. The first filtration machines.

But I didn’t want to be “the one who shows up with a truck.”

I wanted to enter the winery.

I wanted to analyze.

I wanted to work alongside producers.

“I didn’t just create a service. I created a center where producers find solutions to their problems.”

That is the difference.

Not just machines. Expertise.

From the very beginning, I made a precise choice.

I didn’t put simple operators on the machines. I put young winemakers.

Because technology without expertise is useless.

When we enter a winery, we don’t just bring bottling or filtration.

We bring method.

We bring structure.

We bring discussion and comparison.

There is one thing I always say: “You only stay standing if you sell”. A company does not grow through saving alone. Its future is decided in the marketplace.

Growing year after year

Autoctona did not grow by chance.

Every year we invested.
From 2017 to today, we have integrated machines, technology, people, and structure. From 800 square meters, we expanded to 3,000 square meters in 2021 with logistics. Today we operate over 7,500 square meters.

Today Autoctona means:

– four external bottling lines

– one internal bottling center

– four filtration systems

– contract winemaking

– a fully structured logistics center

But the point is not the numbers.

The point is the organization.

THE KEY CONCEPT

I deeply believe in this:

“Qualified outsourcing makes it possible to transform fixed costs into variable costs, access specialized expertise, and increase efficiency without burdening the internal structure.”

This means:

Giving companies stability.

Reducing risk.

Improving performance.

Facing the market with greater strength.

I always say: “Let the technicians work. Go sell the wine”. Because without a market, everything else becomes a cost.

My vision for the future

I am convinced of one thing:

“The market will reward structured companies that are able to work as a system and manage processes in an increasingly professional way.”

Quality will remain fundamental.

But organization will make the difference.

Competitiveness will still depend on the product.

But above all, it will depend on efficiency.

Large companies have managers, structures, systems.

Small and medium-sized ones must find a way to achieve the same level of organization.

Autoctona was created for this.

To provide structure. To provide expertise. To provide vision.

I saw a need.

I experienced it as a producer.

I analyzed it by observing the market.

And I built a structure to solve it.

This is Autoctona.

Not an occasional service. But an organized system designed to make companies more competitive.

And I continue to invest with one clear conviction:

“Competitiveness will come from product quality, but above all from efficiency and organization.”
